A tortoise is drawn from above, seen symmetrically with its head, flippers and tail spread out around a shell decorated with a sun-like star pattern. The whole animal is made of tribal motifs, spirals and geometric shapes typical of Polynesian tattoo art. Lines are thick and bold, creating large black shapes alternating with white spaces. This design can be colored with contrasting tones, for example dark blue for the outline and bright yellow for the central star.
