A mermaid character is drawn with very long wavy hair spreading behind her, a shell top, bracelets and anklets, and a large curved tail fin. She sits with one hand raised near her face, smiling, in a typical Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch style. The line art mixes wide clear areas on the tail and body with finer detail in the hair strands and jewelry. Try coloring the hair in shades of teal or pink and the tail fin with a gradient of blue.
