Jesus is shown rising into the sky with a halo and rays of light behind him, arms raised. Below, a group of apostles kneel and stand in prayer, some with hands clasped, watching the scene. Clouds frame both sides of the composition. The lines are detailed, with flowing robes and expressive faces, making this suited for careful coloring of light rays, cloth folds and cloud shapes.
