Alligator shown from above with its body curved, tail rolled up on the left and jaws wide open showing sharp teeth on the right. The skin is covered with detailed scale patterns across the back, legs and tail, while the belly area stays smoother. Thin lines outline every scale, making this a good exercise in patient shading. Try greenish-brown tones for the body and a paler shade for the underside and teeth.
